Camlock fittings are used to connect hose fittings and/or pipe fittings together in a numerous number of industries.

The "D" type camlocks have a female camlock end and a female BSP thread of the same size.

The female camlock end fits into any male camlock fitting of the same size.

This unit is 50mm female camlock x 50mm female BSP thread.

Install the female BSP threads onto compatible threaded outlets or fittings using appropriate thread sealant tape (PTFE) to ensure a watertight seal. Align the camlock female adaptor correctly before tightening, ensuring the connection is hand-tight plus ¼ turn with a wrench. Connect your rural poly pipe (green stripe) to the barb end using stainless steel hose clamps sized appropriately for 50mm diameter pipe. Always check that your system pressure does not exceed 800kPa, the rated maximum for standard rural poly pipe. Tips: Use stainless steel clamps rather than galvanised versions on barb connections to prevent corrosion in Queensland's climate and extend fitting lifespan.
