The Calf Feeder 5 Teat 30LT Milkmaid by Rapidplas is a multi-teat feeding station designed to feed up to five calves at once from a single 30-litre reservoir. It's ideal for dairy and beef operations where multiple calves need to be raised on milk or milk replacer, saving you time and labour compared to individual bottle feeding.

The unit features soft, flexible peach-coloured rubber teats that closely resemble a cow's natural teat, encouraging calves to latch on naturally and feed with confidence. The large valve aperture allows free flow of milk so calves aren't working too hard to feed, and the valve is permanently glued into each teat to prevent leaks and keep everything secure during use.

Fill the 30-litre tank with your prepared milk or milk replacer, then secure the large cap tightly before mounting or positioning the feeder at an appropriate height for your calves. The wide cap makes filling and screwing on straightforward, even with wet or dirty hands.

Position the feeder so the teats sit at a comfortable height for the calves — roughly at natural udder height to encourage proper feeding posture. Introduce calves to the teats individually if needed, guiding their mouths gently to the teat until they get the idea.

After each feeding session, empty any remaining milk, rinse the tank thoroughly with warm water, then wash with a suitable calf feeder sanitiser. Remove and inspect teats regularly — while the valves are permanently fixed, the teats themselves should be checked for cracks or deterioration and replaced when worn. • Rinse the tank and teats with warm water immediately after every feed — dried milk residue is harder to remove and can harbour bacteria that cause scours.
• Check the peach teats regularly for cracking, splitting or excessive wear and replace them promptly to maintain good milk flow and hygiene.
• Store the feeder in a clean, dry location out of direct sunlight when not in use to extend the life of the rubber teats and plastic tank.
• Keep a regular cleaning schedule, especially in warm Queensland weather, as milk spoils quickly and poor hygiene is a leading cause of calf scours.
