Fill the 3L bottle with warm milk or colostrum heated to 37-39°C (body temperature). Attach the Bainbridge A2080 teat securely to the bottle opening. Present the bottle to the calf or lamb at a slight angle, allowing them to suckle naturally. After feeding, immediately empty any remaining liquid and thoroughly clean and sterilise the bottle and teat with hot water before the next feed. Tips: For newborns, prioritise colostrum in the first 6-12 hours of life at 10% of bodyweight (e.g. 4L for a 40kg calf) — immunoglobulin absorption critically closes after 24 hours. The teat flow rate should require gentle suction from the animal to encourage natural feeding behaviour; if milk flows too freely, reduce the hole size.
