35 Ohms per kilometre/56 Ohms per mile.

String the Equifence cable above ground along your fence line, running it through the appropriate Equifence insulators on your posts at the required height for horses. Tension the cable so it stays taut and highly visible, without over-straining it, and use the correct Equifence connectors/joiners to link rolls and maintain electrical continuity. Connect the fence line to the energiser output terminal via a lead-out/fence connection, and set up the energiser's earth system as per the energiser instructions. Do not bury the Equifence cable — it is an above-ground fence conductor. Tips: Keep vegetation clear of the line to reduce voltage loss, and re-check tension periodically as the coated cable can be re-tensioned over time. Keep all joins and connectors clean and tight to maintain the 35 ohms/km conductivity along the fence.
