Fill the fuel tank with fresh unleaded petrol and check the oil level before starting. Start the Honda GX35 engine according to the manufacturer's starting procedure (choke on for cold starts, recoil pull-start). Once running, lower the driver barrel over the post and use the machine's weight to drive downward in controlled bursts. Keep the barrel aligned vertically over the post throughout the drive. Disengage power before repositioning on the next post. Tips: The Honda GX35 is a reliable 4-stroke engine — always use fresh fuel and change the oil at the manufacturer's service intervals. A mechanical post driver dramatically reduces the labour and time to drive posts compared to a manual driver, especially in large fencing projects. Keep the driver barrel and ram mechanism clean of dirt and grease buildup for reliable operation.
