Ceramic bulbs transform all power into heat, rather than light.

More rest, and more natural warmth for birds and small animals.

Longer lamp life.

NB:
Must be used only with ceramic socket

Mount the infrared ceramic lamp securely in a brooder lamp fixture at least 45-60cm above the bedding surface, adjusting height based on chick behaviour to maintain a comfortable temperature zone of 35°C directly under the lamp. Ensure the lamp is positioned away from water sources and flammable materials, and always use with a suitable ceramic lamp holder rated for 100W. Connect to a reliable power source with proper earthing and switch on to begin heating. Allow 15-20 minutes for the lamp to reach optimal temperature before introducing chicks to the brooding area. Tips: Monitor chick behaviour regularly—if they cluster directly under the lamp, it's too cold; if they avoid the area, it's too hot. Ceramic lamps last longer than traditional glass bulbs and produce less visible light, allowing chicks to rest naturally while maintaining essential warmth. Rotate or replace the lamp if it becomes discoloured or cracks form, as this affects heating efficiency. Common Questions

What's the difference between this and a regular heat lamp?

This ceramic bulb transforms all power into heat rather than light. That means your birds and small animals get more rest since there's no bright light keeping them awake, plus they get more natural warmth. The ceramic also lasts longer than standard bulbs.

What socket do I need to use with this?

You must use only a ceramic socket with this bulb. Don't use it in a regular light socket.

What's this lamp suitable for?

It's designed for brooding birds and small animals that need warmth. The infrared ceramic heat provides a natural warming environment without the bright light of traditional heat lamps.
