Bomectin F is a broad spectrum antiparasitic injection for cattle containing Ivermectin and Clorsulon.

Ivermectin is a member of the macrocyclic lactone (ML) family, which binds and interferes with invertebrate nerve and muscle cells causing parasite paralysis and death.

Ivermectin has a broad spectrum activity against both adult and larval stages of parasite nematodes. Clorsulon is a sulphonamide, which kills adult liver fluke by inhibiting their glycolytic pathway enzymes when ingested.

Dose rate & administration

1 mL per 50 kg by subcutaneous (SC) injection into the anterior half of the neck only. Do not administer intravenously or intramuscularly. Use within 24 hours of first broaching — discard unused portion. Controls adult liver fluke (Fasciola hepatica) in addition to broad-spectrum internal and external parasites.

Apply in autumn or spring when fluke burdens are highest; combine with pasture management to reduce intermediate snail hosts.
