Lay the BLACK MAX RIBBED DRAINAGE PIPE at a minimum depth of 300mm below ground to protect from stock traffic and UV exposure. Connect sections using barb fittings with stainless steel clamps, ensuring tight seals to prevent leaks along your reticulation line. Run the pipe from your water source to troughs, allowing for a slight fall gradient where possible to aid water flow. Bury the pipe in a straight line to your troughs, avoiding sharp bends that may restrict water pressure. Tips: Use compression fittings at trough connection points to allow easy disconnection for maintenance or seasonal adjustments without cutting the pipe. Always use stainless steel clamps rather than galvanised to prevent corrosion and ensure long-term durability in rural water systems. Keep above-ground sections to a minimum, as exposure to direct sunlight will degrade the pipe over time, even with the UV-resistant green stripe.
