Merivon provides robust protection against blossom blight and lifts the previous industry standard for protection against husk spot to a new level with the addition of new chemistry.
Merivon combines an innovative Group 7 fungicide with the proven stobilurin chemistry of Cabrio to improve and extend disease control.
Adding Merivon to the orchard’s spray program can both provide a better result each season and help manage resistance to give the older products in the rotation a longer future.
How it works:
Merivon contains two active ingredients and belongs to two mode-of-action groups:
Group 7, the SDHIs (Succinate Dehydrogenase inhibitors), and Group 11, the QoIs (Quinone outside Inhibitors).

Target Diseases
Merivon is registered for macadamia husk spot and flower blight complex; almond shot hole, blossom blight, leaf rust, Alternaria, anthracnose, scab and hull-rot suppression; cherry blossom blight/brown rot; powdery mildew and target spot in fruiting vegetables; gummy stem blight and powdery mildew in cucurbits; Emperor brown spot and blossom blight/mould in lemons and tangelos; and anthracnose and powdery mildew in mangoes. Refer to the product label for the full list of registered crop and disease combinations.
Merivon (250 g/L pyraclostrobin + 250 g/L fluxapyroxad, Group 11 + Group 7) is applied as a foliar spray at label rates: macadamias 40 mL per 100 L for husk spot and flower blight complex (WHP 21 days); almonds 40 mL/100 L for shot hole, blossom blight, rust, Alternaria, anthracnose, scab and hull-rot suppression (WHP 21 days); cherries 25 mL/100 L for blossom blight/brown rot (WHP 2 days); fruiting vegetables and cucurbits 240 mL/ha for powdery mildew, target spot and gummy stem blight (nil WHP); lemons and tangelos 25 mL/100 L for Emperor brown spot and blossom blight (nil); mangoes 25 mL/100 L for anthracnose and powdery mildew (nil). Maximum 3 applications per year (mango 4) with no more than 2 consecutive Merivon sprays. Mix in a partly filled tank with agitation, apply preventatively with thorough canopy coverage, and avoid application if rain is imminent. Refer to the registered label.

Tips for Best Results
- Apply preventatively: Merivon works best applied before or at the very first sign of disease, ahead of warm, humid conditions.
- Resistance management: Merivon combines a Group 7 (SDHI) and a Group 11 (QoI) fungicide. Do not exceed 3 applications per year (4 in mango) or 2 consecutive sprays, and rotate with fungicides from other groups.
- Mixing order: Half-fill the tank, add Merivon with the agitator running, then add other compatible products and top up; jar-test unfamiliar mixes.
- Coverage is key: Use adequate water volume for thorough coverage of all leaf, flower and fruit surfaces.
- Storage and safety: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from children and foodstuffs; wear the PPE on the label.
