Barricade S Cattle Dip and Spray (25 g/L cypermethrin, 138 g/L chlorfenvinphos) is a DANGEROUS POISON (Schedule 7) dip and spray for the control of cattle ticks (Boophilus microplus), New Zealand bush ticks (Haemaphysalis longicornis) and paralysis ticks (Ixodes holocyclus) on cattle, horses, deer, goats and working dogs. It also gives protection for up to 21 days against buffalo fly (Haematobia irritans) in these species, and controls cattle lice (Linognathus vituli, Damalinia bovis and Haematopinus eurysternus).
It controls strains of cattle tick that are sensitive to chlorfenvinphos and cypermethrin, as well as strains that are resistant to chlorinated hydrocarbon, organophosphate and amidine.
Mixing
Hand sprays and non-recirculating spray races (cattle only): 1 part Barricade S to 250 parts of water (1:250). Stir thoroughly. Barricade S can be used with hard or soft water. For plunge dip and spray race charging and replenishment, follow the registered label.
Restraints
Dogs: use on working dogs only. DO NOT use cattle as stirrers. DO NOT use this product if it is too hot to wear the recommended personal protective equipment (PPE). Treatment should be repeated at 10 to 21 day intervals; the minimum retreatment interval is 10 days; do not carry out more than 10 repeat treatments in any one-year. Dangerous to fish. DO NOT contaminate ponds, waterways and drains with the product or used containers. Dangerous to bees. DO NOT spray on any plants in flower while bees are foraging.
