Sow October–December at 2–4 kg/ha onto well-prepared, well-drained soil; avoid waterlogged, poorly drained areas. This mix is Amiga Caribbean stylo (20%) plus Siran and Seca shrubby stylo (40% each), and the two stylo types use stylo-specific rhizobia — not 'Group I'. The Caribbean stylo strain is CB1650 and the current commercial shrubby-stylo strain is CB3481; confirm the exact current strain with your inoculant supplier. This seed is AgriCote-coated; AgriCote carries rhizobia on some tropical legumes but not all, so confirm whether this coated batch already includes the correct stylo inoculant — if it does not, or if sowing bare seed, inoculate before sowing. Stylo tolerates acidic soils (about pH 4.5–7.5) and recovers strongly after drought and frost; allow good establishment before heavy grazing. Suits blending with Rhodes, signal, setaria or digitaria.
