Arise is the newest late maturing tetraploid Italian ryegrass (+15 days) bred for Barenbrug.

Arise offers quick establishment for early feed and a wide growth period, providing quality feed throughout the year.

Arise is capable of multiple grazings throughout late autumn, winter, early spring and late spring, with the ability to produce quality feed in a second year under the correct conditions.

This provides the benefit of a more productive pasture to grow more home-grown feed for your livestock.

Suitable for over sowing into existing pastures for a boost to establish quick feed options, reducing the need for winter supplementary feeding and aiding to fill the winter feed gap.

Sow Barenbrug Arise at 20–25 kg/ha during April–May in the Gympie region (March sowing possible in cooler hinterland areas). Apply 60–100 kg/ha MAP or DAP at sowing to establish phosphorus and nitrogen. Sow into clean, firm seedbeds or directly into run-down summer pastures to fill the winter feed gap. Use the anchor test before first grazing: pull a plant at grazing height—if it stays in the ground, it's safe to graze. Tips: Barenbrug Arise is a late-maturing tetraploid with quick establishment and topped total yield across Queensland trials. Adopt rotational grazing by grazing at the 2.5–3 leaf stage, then resting to recharge carbohydrates before the next rotation. Sow ryegrass alone—avoid mixing with modern ryegrasses or legumes, as Italian ryegrass is too competitive. In good conditions, Arise can persist into a second year, extending your winter feed supply.
