As a general guide, the LG bands may be suitable for cattle, sheep and goats ranging in weight from 120kg to 250kg.

The application of the ring is quick and efficient, by expanding the ring with an applicator and placing over scrotum.

The applicator is made of stainless steel and ring opens to 10cm x 7.5cm x 7.5cm.

A silicone spray or lubricant should be used on arm to allow the tool to open/close.

Always wear protective glasses when using banders.

A tetanus toxoid injection is strongly recommended.

12 month repair warranty on bander tool.

The LG Bands are only recommended for use with the Bainbridge LG Bander tool.

Do not use other brands of large bands or the SM Bands on the LG Bander tool.

Open handle until it stops. All three prongs should be touching. Install band by pushing one side of the band down one side of a prong, then continue the same process in a circular motion until the band is over all three prongs. Push down as far as possible on all three sides. Close handles. Hold both arms of the castrator together to prevent them from releasing. Slip the skin of the scrotal sac through the opening, then work each testicle through the opening of the band. Release the handles. A tetanus toxoid injection is recommended at time of application of the bands. Eye protection is recommended when using the bands and bander tools. Ensure the animals are monitored post castration for infection. Contact your local veterinarian for further advice. These tools and bands should be used under supervision of a Veterinarian. Each state, territory and country has different legislative requirements. Please refer to your local legislation.
Put the triangular stretched rubber as close to the testicles and as far below the belly as possible. After releasing the band, inspect to make sure the band is placed correctly. If swelling occurs below the band, then re-band immediately. Be sure bands are kept warm before use. Bainbridge bands must be used on Bainbridge bander tools.
