BALL VALVE BRASS FEMALE & FEMALE NORMA at a glance

Brass ball valves are recommended for use in residential and light commercial applications and are suitable for hot or cold water, compressed air and most non-corrosive fluids and hydrocarbons including diesel. The tamper proof casing allows “full flow” and the bottom loaded stem design prevents a ‘blow out’. The double seal elastic O-ring enables the valve to seal at low and high pressures reliably. The valve has a robust cast design and the handle may be replaced while the valve is still in service.

Product Features
Operating Temperature -20°C - +120°C. Working Pressure 362.5PSI

Install the ball valve into your trough or poly tank inlet, ensuring the female threads are connected securely to matching female fittings on your water line. Adjust the float arm so the ball sits at your desired water level — most farmers set it about 50mm from the top to prevent overflow. Turn on water supply gradually and check for leaks at all connection points. Once set, the valve will automatically maintain water level by opening and closing as cattle drink. Tips: Check your water supply pressure before installation — most cocky valves handle 100-350kPa, so verify compatibility with your system. If you're running a dam-fed system, install a strainer in the supply line upstream of the valve to reduce debris fouling and extend valve life. Test the valve weekly during hot weather when cattle drink heavily, especially post-milking.

Common Questions

What's this ball valve suitable for?

This brass ball valve is designed for residential and light commercial applications. It handles hot or cold water, compressed air, and most non-corrosive fluids and hydrocarbons including diesel.

What are the operating limits?

The valve operates between -20°C and +120°C, with a working pressure of 362.5 PSI.

Why choose this valve over others?

It has a tamper proof casing for full flow, a bottom loaded stem design that prevents blow out, and a double seal elastic O-ring that seals reliably at both low and high pressures. The robust cast design is durable, and the handle can be replaced while the valve is still in service.

What does the female & female connection mean?

Both inlet and outlet connections are female threaded. This means you'll need male threaded fittings or adapters to connect pipes or hoses to this valve.
