Common Questions

What is AC Backrubber Oil used for?

AC Backrubber Oil is a carrier oil designed for use in backrubs with registered fly control products. It allows cattle to graze while protecting them from flying, biting parasites. The oil is not effective on its own—it must be used with a registered buffalo fly treatment product.

Why does this oil stay in the backrub and not drip out?

AC Backrubber Oil is made from new paraffin oil with special additives that help it retain its viscosity even in hot weather, and make it tacky so it won't drip from the backrub during the heat of the day.

How does the backrub oil work with fly control products?

When cattle rub themselves against the backrub, the oil and chemical mix is evenly distributed over their body. As an approved carrier oil, it ensures the registered fly control product is applied consistently as the animals self-treat.
