Aus-Phoz 600 Systemic Fungicide is an aqueous buffered solution of phosphorous acid
for effective control of downy mildew, Phytopthora and associated root diseases.
Aus-Phoz 600 Systemic Fungicide is a non-toxic, aqueous fungicide for the control of
downy mildew and phytophthora species.
Aus-Phoz 600 Systemic Fungicide is systemically absorbed by the plant and has a
two-fold mode of action:
Activates the plants own immune defence response.
Phosphorous acid has a unique form of PO3- which moves around the plant unreacted unlike Phosphate (PO4) which forms ADP and ATP.
Pathogen will readily accumulate PO3 which cannot be assimilated into these energy
compounds.
This accumulation weakens the pathogen enough for it to exhibit stress metabolites which is detected by the plant.
The plant will then protect itself by issuing a defence response and kill the pathogen.
Directly inhibiting fungus growth by changing the nature of the fungal cell walls at
high concentrations.
Phosphonates are highly systemic and mobile, thus translocation to new growth
provides additional disease protection.
Due to its mode of action, Aus-Phoz 600 Systemic Fungicide can be used as a
protective or curative treatment or both.

Key diseases include Phytophthora root rot, crown rot, and collar rot (caused by Phytophthora spp.), Downy mildew (caused by various Peronospora, Plasmopara, and related species), Pythium damping-off and root diseases (caused by Pythium spp.), and Phytophthora dieback as seen in avocado, macadamia, and other horticultural crops. Phosphite acts by both directly suppressing pathogen growth and by stimulating the plant's own natural defence responses. It is not effective against true fungal pathogens such as rusts, powdery mildews caused by Ascomycetes, or Botrytis.
Aus-Phoz 600 is a systemic phosphite fungicide applied primarily as a foliar spray, though it may also be used as a soil drench or injected via irrigation systems depending on the crop and target disease. Always read the product label carefully before use, as application rates and timing vary significantly between crops and disease situations.
To mix, add the required volume of Aus-Phoz 600 to a partially filled spray tank and agitate well before topping up to the final volume. The product is compatible with most commonly used fungicides and fertilisers, but always conduct a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar products.
