Directions for Use

Genfarm Atrazine 900 WG is a pre- and post-emergence herbicide containing 900g/kg Atrazine, available in a 15kg pack. It controls a range of weeds and grasses in Sorghum, Maize, Sweet Corn, Sugar Cane, Canola (Triazine Tolerant varieties only), Lupins, Broom Millet, Saccaline and Forage Sorghum, as well as Mintweed in established Lucerne, Brome grass in certain grass seed crops, and weeds in fallow areas under conservation tillage. Note that established perennial species, large annuals and large broadleaf weeds are not satisfactorily controlled by this product.

Before use: Read the full registered product label carefully, including all Directions for Use, Precautionary Statements, Safety Directions and First Aid Instructions before opening the pack. All application rates, timing and crop-specific instructions must be followed as stated on the registered label.

How it works: This product acts mainly through root absorption. Rainfall or irrigation after application is essential to move the chemical down into the weed root zone. The duration and effectiveness of control will depend on the amount applied, soil type, rainfall and the weed species present. Refer to the product label for guidance on soil moisture requirements and timing.

Mixing: This is a wettable granule formulation. Mix as directed on the registered product label for your specific situation and application equipment.

Application: Apply using equipment that is clean, correctly calibrated and suitable for herbicide application. Follow the label for crop-specific use directions, including pre-emergence and post-emergence timings and any recommended additives.

Tips:

  • Do not apply to ridged or excessively cloddy soil, as this will reduce effectiveness.
  • Avoid application if rainfall is unlikely, as the product needs moisture to move into the weed root zone.
  • Always check that the Canola variety you are treating is Triazine Tolerant before applying — non-tolerant varieties will be damaged.
  • Keep records of applications as required under your local chemical use obligations.

Always read the current registered product label before use. Dose rates and withholding periods on this page are provided as a guide only. The registered label supplied with the product is the legal document and takes precedence. If in doubt, contact TGRM on (07) 5482 1692 or the manufacturer directly.
