Amitik EC Cattle and Pig Spray, controls organophosphate and synthetic pyrethroid resistant Cattle Tick (Boophilus microplus), Paralysis Tick (Ixodes holocyclus) and Bush Tick (Haemaphysalis longicornis) in Beef and Dairy Cattle, in an easy to use liquid formulation.
Also controls Cattle Tick on sheep, goats, deer and certain circus animals in NSW only and Mange in pigs.

Target Parasites & Animals
Amitik EC is registered for use on beef and dairy cattle, controlling Cattle Tick (Boophilus microplus), Paralysis Tick (Ixodes holocyclus) and Bush Tick (Haemaphysalis longicornis) — including strains resistant to organophosphates and synthetic pyrethroids. In New South Wales, it is also registered to control Cattle Tick on sheep, goats, deer and certain circus animals. In pigs, Amitik EC is registered for the treatment of Mange.
Amitik EC is applied as a spray dip or spray-on treatment. Mix 400 mL of Amitik EC concentrate into 200 L of water for cattle. For mange treatment in pigs, mix 40 mL into 10 L of water. Ensure animals are thoroughly wetted from head to tail, paying particular attention to the ears, legs, belly and tail head — areas where ticks prefer to attach.
Following treatment, cattle will typically be clean of ticks within 3–4 days. Larval tick attachment is prevented for up to 7 days post-treatment, which is particularly useful when clearing cattle of tick prior to movement or sale.

- Ensure thorough coverage: Amitik EC works as a contact treatment — cattle must be completely and evenly wetted for the product to be effective. Pay close attention to skin folds, ears, the brisket, belly and around the tail head where ticks commonly harbour.
- Resistance management is critical in South-East Queensland: Amitiz EC's active ingredient, amitraz, belongs to the formamidine chemical group — a different mode of action to organophosphates and synthetic pyrethroids. This makes it a valuable rotation option where OP or pyrethroid resistance has been confirmed in your Cattle Tick population. Rotating between chemical classes with different modes of action is a proven strategy to slow the development of acaricide resistance.
