Apply the AMBIC teat spray gun within 30 seconds of cluster removal while the teat canal is still open — this is critical for post-milking protection. Ensure full coverage of each teat by operating the lever-activated spray mechanism. For pre-dipping, allow a minimum 30-second contact time and completely wipe off all product before attaching the milking cluster. Never use post-dip products as pre-dip, as they are formulated for different purposes. Tips: Keep cows standing for 20–30 minutes after milking to allow the teat canal to close naturally; encourage this by offering fresh feed at the exit. Check your teat dip concentration monthly against the label rate — dilution below the recommended ratio significantly reduces effectiveness. Score teat condition regularly to monitor for hyperkeratosis (rough rings at the teat end), which may indicate over-milking or vacuum issues.
