Alben for sheep, lambs and goats, for the control of benzimidazole-sensitive mature and immature gastrointestinal roundworms, large lungworms, tapeworms and aids in the control of adult liver fluke in sheep, lambs and goats.
Use in conjunction with other drenches that do not contain a benzimidazole active.
Useful as a goat drench where benzimidazole effectiveness still exists.

Tips for Best Results
- Weigh accurately, never estimate. Underdosing is one of the leading causes of drench resistance. Use a weigh crate and dose to the heaviest animal in the mob.
- Test before you trust. Benzimidazole (white drench) resistance is widespread across much of Australia, including south-east Queensland. Before relying on Alben as part of your program, conduct a DrenchCheck or DrenchTest (faecal egg count reduction test) to confirm BZ drenches are still effective on your property.
- Rotate with purpose. According to WormBoss principles, rotate between drench classes — not just drench brands — to slow the development of resistance. Use Alben as part of a planned rotation that includes drenches from other classes (such as macrocyclic lactones or levamisole), and consider combination drenches where appropriate.
- Maintain refugia. WormBoss recommends leaving a proportion of low-risk animals undrenched where possible. This preserves a population of worms that have not been exposed to drenching (refugia), which dilutes resistant worms on pasture and slows the spread of resistance over time.
- Store correctly and keep records. Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Shake well before use. Keep a drench record for each mob — date, product used, dose rate, animal weights and any post-drench observations. Good records support smarter decisions next season.
