Alben Broad Spectrum Anthelmintic for Sheep, Lambs and Goats. Oral drench containing 19 g/L albendazole.
For the control of benzimidazole-sensitive mature and immature gastrointestinal roundworms, large lungworms, tapeworms and aids in control of adult liver fluke in sheep, lambs and goats: barber's pole worm (Haemonchus contortus); stomach hair worm (Trichostrongylus axei); small brown stomach worm (Ostertagia/Teladorsagia spp); black scour worm (Trichostrongylus spp); small intestinal worm (Cooperia spp); thin necked intestinal worm (Nematodirus spp); nodule worm (Oesophagostomum columbianum); large bowel worm (Oesophagostomum venulosum); large mouthed bowel worm (Chabertia ovina); large lungworm (Dictyocaulus filaria); tapeworm (Moniezia expansa); liver fluke (Fasciola hepatica).
Ovicidal: reduces worm egg and fluke egg hatching. For this to be of benefit, sheep should not be placed on clean pasture until 6 hours after drenching.
Dose
Sheep, lambs and goats: 3.8 mg/kg albendazole or 1 mL per 5 kg bodyweight for roundworms, lungworms and tapeworms. 4.75 mg/kg albendazole or 1 mL per 4 kg bodyweight for adult liver fluke. Shake well before use.
Withholding periods
Meat: DO NOT USE less than 10 days before slaughter for human consumption.
Milk: DO NOT USE in animals producing milk for human consumption.
Export Slaughter Interval (ESI): DO NOT USE less than 10 days before slaughter for export.

Where adult liver fluke infection exists concurrently with roundworm, tapeworm and lungworm infections the higher dose rate should be used.
