Target Diseases

Custodia Forte (tebuconazole + azoxystrobin) is registered for control or suppression of brown rot/blossom blight, shot hole, rust and hull rot in almonds; powdery mildew, downy mildew and Botrytis bunch rot in grapevines; and husk spot in macadamias. Consult the product label for the full list of registered uses.

Custodia Forte (370 g/L tebuconazole + 222 g/L azoxystrobin, Group 3 + Group 11) is a suspension concentrate applied as a dilute or concentrate foliar spray with airblast or similar orchard/vineyard sprayers. Mix the required amount of product in a partially filled spray tank, agitate well, and top up to the final volume; maintain agitation throughout spraying.

Label rates: almonds 32 mL/100 L (or 540 mL/ha) for brown rot/blossom blight, shot hole, rust and hull rot, maximum 3 Group 11 and 3 Group 3 applications per season; grapevines 35–54 mL/100 L (or 540 mL/ha) for powdery mildew, downy mildew and Botrytis bunch rot, maximum 2 Custodia Forte sprays per season; macadamias 32 mL/100 L for husk spot, maximum 2 applications. DO NOT apply by aircraft or by boom sprayer.

Custodia Forte has protectant and systemic activity – apply preventatively before disease is established and follow the spray intervals and resistance-management limits on the label. Withholding periods: almonds not required when used as directed; grapevines do not harvest for 4 weeks after application; macadamias do not harvest for 15 days after application. Always check the label for restraints and re-entry intervals before use.

Tips for Best Results

  • Apply protectively: Both actives work best when applied before disease pressure builds, especially ahead of wet or humid weather typical of Queensland summers.
  • Thorough coverage is essential: Adjust spray volume and nozzle selection to suit canopy density so all leaf, flower and fruit/nut surfaces are covered.
  • Resistance management: Custodia Forte combines a Group 3 (DMI) and a Group 11 (QoI) fungicide. Do not exceed the label maximum number of applications per season, alternate with fungicides from other groups, and follow the CropLife Australia resistance-management strategies for Group 3 and Group 11 fungicides.
  • Observe application restraints: Do not apply by aircraft or boom sprayer; observe the label withholding periods for grapes (4 weeks) and macadamias (15 days).
  • Handling precautions: Wear appropriate PPE including gloves, eye protection, and protective clothing when mixing and applying. Store in a cool, dry, locked facility away from children, livestock feed, and water sources.
