Mitavite Extru® Barley – 20kg
Mitavite Extru® Barley is a steam-extruded barley feed for horses, designed to provide a highly digestible source of energy for condition, performance and heavy workloads. Steam extrusion improves starch digestibility, helping the horse utilise the grain more efficiently while reducing the amount of undigested starch reaching the hindgut.
It is suitable for horses requiring additional calories for weight gain, condition maintenance, racing or performance work, and can be fed alongside a fully fortified Mitavite feed.
Key features: 14.3 MJ/kg digestible energy, 11% crude protein, 4% crude fat, 6% maximum crude fibre and 50% starch. Ingredients are barley, canola oil and rice bran oil.
Feeding guide: when replacing raw, rolled or cracked grain by volume, replace one dipper with one dipper of Extru® Barley. When replacing grain by weight, Mitavite recommends reducing the weight fed by approximately 30% because of the increased digestibility.
