Cattlemax Pour-On is a topical endectocide formulated for the treatment and control of ivermectin-sensitive internal and external parasites in beef and dairy cattle. It is a ready-to-use pour-on solution applied along the backline, providing systemic parasite control after absorption through the skin.

ACTIVE CONSTITUENT
Ivermectin 5 g/L (5 mg/mL)

MODE OF ACTION
Ivermectin is a macrocyclic lactone endectocide that interferes with nerve transmission in susceptible parasites, resulting in paralysis and death. After topical application, the active ingredient is absorbed and distributed throughout the animal to control both internal and external parasites.

Internal parasites (gastrointestinal nematodes):
Small Brown Stomach Worm (Ostertagia ostertagi, including inhibited stages)
Barbers Pole Worm (Haemonchus placei)
Stomach Hair Worm (Trichostrongylus axei)
Intestinal Hair Worm (Trichostrongylus colubriformis)
Small Intestinal Worms (Cooperia species)
Nodule Worm (Oesophagostomum radiatum)
Adult stages of Cooperia oncophora, Cooperia punctata and Oesophagostomum venulosum
Whip Worm (Trichuris species)
Intestinal Threadworm (Strongyloides papillosus)
Immature stages (L4) of Nematodirus species

Lungworms:
Dictyocaulus viviparus (adult and immature stages)

Eyeworms:
Thelazia species (adult stages)

External parasites:
Sucking and biting lice (Linognathus vituli, Haematopinus eurysternus, Bovicola bovis, Solenopotes capillatus)
Mites (Chorioptes bovis, Sarcoptes scabiei var. bovis)
Buffalo fly (Haematobia irritans exigua)
Cattle tick (Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus), including organophosphate-, synthetic pyrethroid- and amidine-resistant strains

PERSISTENT ACTIVITY
When applied at the recommended dose of 1 mL per 10 kg liveweight, Cattlemax Pour-On provides:
Up to 14 days control of Trichostrongylus species and Cooperia species
Up to 21 days control of Ostertagia ostertagi and Oesophagostomum species
Up to 28 days control of lungworm
Up to 21 days control of buffalo fly

The product should be used as part of an integrated parasite control program.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Apply along the topline of cattle in a narrow strip from the withers to the tailhead.
Dose rate: 1 mL per 10 kg liveweight.
Weigh animals accurately or dose to the heaviest animal in the group.
Draft cattle into weight groups where bodyweights vary significantly.
Do not use on species other than cattle.
Do not treat pregnant cows within 7 days of calving.
Do not repeat treatment within 42 days.

WITHHOLDING PERIODS
Meat: Do not use less than 28 days before slaughter for human consumption.
Milk: Nil withholding period.
Bobby calves: Do not slaughter bobby calves born to treated cows for 4 days.
Export slaughter interval: 28 days.

SAFETY AND HANDLING
Harmful if swallowed and may irritate eyes and skin.
Highly flammable; keep away from heat, sparks and open flames.
Avoid contact with eyes and skin and avoid inhalation of vapours.
Wear protective gloves and eye protection during handling and application.
Wash hands and exposed skin thoroughly after use.
Ivermectin is toxic to aquatic organisms; avoid contamination of waterways and drains.
Do not apply to areas of skin with lesions, heavy mud or manure.

STORAGE
Store in the original container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Product may become cloudy if stored below 0°C; allow to return to room temperature before use.
