Description

DALGETY Tik Bos Pour On is a tick development inhibitor formulated for the strategic control of cattle tick (Boophilus/Rhipicephalus microplus), including all known acaricide resistant strains, on beef cattle. It contains fluazuron 25g/L as the active ingredient and is presented as a ready to use pour on topical solution that interferes with tick development, preventing moulting and breaking the tick life cycle. It is registered for use in several pack sizes including 2.5L.

Mode of Action
Fluazuron is a tick development inhibitor that disrupts chitin synthesis in immature stages of the cattle tick. It prevents moulting from one life stage to the next, progressively reducing tick numbers on treated cattle.

Directions for Use
Apply along the backline of cattle in two bands about 7cm wide, one on each side of the spine between the shoulders and rump.
Dose guidance:
€¢ 101-150kg - 9mL
€¢ 151-200kg - 12mL
€¢ 201-250kg - 15mL
€¢ 251-300kg - 18mL
€¢ 301-350kg - 21mL
€¢ 351-400kg - 24mL
€¢ 401-450kg - 27mL
€¢ 451-500kg - 30mL
€¢ 501-550kg - 33mL
€¢ 551-600kg - 36mL
€¢ 601-650kg - 39mL
€¢ Over 650kg - 3mL per 50kg bodyweight
Re treat only after at least 6 weeks if ticks reappear, with a maximum of 3 treatments per annual tick season.
Use a label approved applicator and weigh animals to ensure accurate dosing. Do not treat pregnant cows within 6 weeks of calving to avoid handling stress.

Withholding Periods & Restrictions
Meat: Do not use less than 42 days before slaughter for human consumption.
Calves that have suckled treated cows must not be slaughtered earlier than 4 months after last treatment of the cows.
Milk: Do not use on cattle producing, or that may in the future produce, milk for human consumption.
Export Slaughter Interval (ESI): Do not use less than 42 days before slaughter for export.
