Description
Moximax LA Injectable for Sheep 500mL is a long-acting parasiticide injection containing 20g/L moxidectin, designed for the treatment and control of roundworms, nasal bot, and itchmite in sheep. It provides protection against severe challenge by Haemonchus contortus (Barbers Pole Worm) for up to 4 months after a single subcutaneous dose.

Protection Period
€¢ Prevents reinfection by Haemonchus contortus and Teladorsagia circumcincta for not less than 91 days.
€¢ Prevents reinfection by Trichostrongylus colubriformis for up to 49 days.
€¢ Provides protection against severe challenge by Haemonchus contortus for up to 4 months.
Directions for Use
€¢ Administer by subcutaneous injection at the base of the ear or high on the neck behind the ear.
€¢ Use an appropriate injector gun.
€¢ Weigh sheep before dosing.
Dose rate: 1mg moxidectin per kg liveweight (equivalent to 1mL per 20kg liveweight).

€¢ 31-40kg - 2mL
€¢ 41-50kg - 2.5mL
€¢ 51-60kg - 3mL
€¢ 61-70kg - 3.5mL

€¢ 81-90kg - 4.5mL
€¢ Animals <20kg - Do not use
€¢ Animals >90kg - Dose at 0.5mL per 10kg
Safety Directions
€¢ Poisonous if swallowed.
€¢ May irritate eyes, nose, throat, and skin.
€¢ Avoid contact with eyes and skin; do not inhale.
€¢ Wash hands after use.
€¢ Avoid self-injection - accidental injection may cause persistent inflammation or allergic response.
€¢ Very toxic to aquatic life - avoid contaminating waterways.
€¢ Needles and sharps must be safely disposed of.
€¢ Store at or below 30°C, protected from light.
Contraindications & Precautions
€¢ Not recommended for goats.
€¢ Use as part of a resistance management program.
€¢ Not recommended where avermectin resistance is present without veterinary advice.
Withholding & Trade Advice
€¢ Meat: Do not use less than 91 days before slaughter for human consumption.
€¢ Milk: Do not use in ewes producing or that may produce milk for human consumption.
€¢ Export Slaughter Interval (ESI): Do not use less than 133 days before export slaughter.
Environmental Protection
€¢ Very toxic to aquatic life - avoid contamination of waterways.
€¢ Dispose of unused product and containers according to local regulations.
