The importance of neutralising value and particle size

Neutralising Value (NV) is an indicator of a Limes purity and its ability to neutralise acid in the soil.

The most accurate way to assess lime is to use effective neutralising value (ENV), which is a calculation that takes into account the particle size and the NV of a lime.

Agricultural Lime typically has an ENV of 40% to 80%.

OzcalBoron has a NV of 97% indicating high purity and ultra fine particles.

The smaller the particle size the more reactive the Lime is in the soil and the quicker acidity is neutralised.
